SHERIFF’S OFFICE ARRESTS TWO ON INVALID LICENSE CHARGES

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office made two arrests this week on charges of driving with an invalid license.

Clifford Deshon Williams
(Washington Co. Jail)

Just shy of 7 a.m. Monday, Corporal Crosby initiated a traffic stop in the 3200 block of Highway 105 after a routine license plate check revealed no record on file for the vehicle.  The sheriff’s office reported that upon making contact, documentation was provided indicating the vehicle had been purchased the previous month, but the vehicle had yet to be registered, and there was no proof of insurance.  The driver, 47-year-old Clifford Deshon Williams of Brenham, was taken into custody after it was determined he was operating the vehicle with a suspended license.  Williams was transported to the Washington County Jail and charged with Driving While License Invalid Enhanced and Display/Expired Registration.

Ronald B. Rodriguez
(Washington Co. Jail)

Approaching 8:30 a.m., Corporal Crosby conducted a traffic stop in the 9000 block of Highway 290 East for an expired registration.  According to the sheriff’s office, the driver was found to have an active warrant.  59-year-old Ronald B. Rodriguez of Hempstead was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail for his warrant, Driving While License Invalid Enhanced.
