WESTSIDE NARCOTICS TASK FORCE MAKES DRUG SEIZURE IN WALLER
A major drug shipment is off the streets after authorities seized it on Thursday.
The Westside Narcotics Task Force working with the Houston Police Department’s Narcotics Division uncovered over 6,500 pounds of illegal THC products at a shipping facility in Waller.
The items included THC edibles, vape cartridges, and liquids.
The Task Force said the packages were portrayed to look like candy or snacks.
The majority of the items were also vacuum sealed by traffickers as an attempt to hide the smell of the narcotics from K-9 units.
The investigation into the case is ongoing.
Waller County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Officer “Dennis” and members of the Austin County Special Investigations Unit assisted with the operation.
