BRENHAM CUBETTES WIN TWO ON DAY ONE AT CORNERSTONE CHRISTIAN CLASSIC

The Brenham Cubette Basketball Team won two games on the opening day at the Cornerstone Christian Classic in San Antonio yesterday (Thursday).

Brenham opened with an 80-50 win over Los Fresnos.

The game was close with Brenham having a narrow 32-30 lead at halftime. However, the Cubettes blew the game open in the second half by outscoring Los Fresnos 48-20.

Aby Adams had a big game with 18 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists. Antyiahna Lang finished with 13 points and 8 rebounds. Bri'Ashia Broaden added 11 points.

In the second game, the Cubettes defeated Canyon Lake 52-27.

Brenham won the first three quarters; 12-5, 15-8, and 16-4, to take a 43-17 lead into the fourth quarter. Canyon Lake did outscore the Cubettes 10-9 in the fourth quarter, but the game was well in hand by then.

Carmen McWilliams led Brenham with 10 points, while Aby Adams finished with nine points and seven rebounds.
