WASHINGTON COUNTY FARM BUREAU ATTENDS STATE MEETING

  

The Washington County Farm Bureau recently attended the Texas Farm Bureau‘s 92nd annual meeting in Arlington.

There were 858 delegates representing 145 counties in Texas at the event.

Representing the 3,393 member families in Washington County as delegates were Secretary Russell Borgstedte, Membership and Social Media Officer Linda Oberhoff, and Jon Wellmann with the Young Farmers and Ranchers.

The Washington County Farm Bureau was recognized with several awards at the meeting.

President Larry Winkelmann received the Presidential Proficiency award for 2025. He was also recognized as a Star recruiter for membership.

In addition to that, Washington County was named as Outstanding in the large market for posting the social media events for the county.

Washington County Fair Assistant Manager Madalynn Kainer was one of eight finalists for the Excellence in Agriculture Award.
