BRENHAM PD ARRESTS ONE FOR THEFT, ANOTHER FOR ASSAULT
Brenham police reported arrests Wednesday on charges of theft and assault.
Shortly before noon, Officers Trinten Rolling and Eric Crosby responded to the 200 block of Highway 290 West in reference to a shoplifting. Police say their investigation revealed that a subject had passed the last point of sale with several items without rendering payment. 74-year-old Deborah Rich of Bellville was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail, where she was booked for Theft of Property $100 - $750.
A few minutes past 7:30 p.m., Sergeant Jose Perez responded to the 1900 block of Northview Circle Drive in reference to an active physical disturbance. Upon arrival, police investigation determined that 33-year-old Briana Reed of Brenham had allegedly assaulted a victim. Reed was taken into custody for Assault Causing Bodily Injury and transported to the Washington County Jail.
