BURTON SCHOOL BOARD TO RECOGNIZE BASEBALL, SOFTBALL, GOLF & TRACK PROGRAMS
The Burton School Board will gather for its next meeting on Monday.
Trustees will open the meeting with a public hearing regarding Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) funds. They will then move into campus, administrative and department reports, as well as recognition of students in golf, track, and the baseball and softball teams.
In action items, the board will consider resolutions regarding the issuance of obligations designated as Series 2026 maintenance tax notes and establishing the district’s intent to reimburse itself for the prior lawful expenditure of funds related to construction, from the proceeds of tax-exempt obligations.
The board will also take up a localized board policy manual update and potentially amend board policy to add the child nutrition director and remove the maintenance director from the list of employees who shall be employed on a non-Chapter 21 contract.
The board will meet Monday at 6 p.m. in the Burton ISD Cafeteria.
