HISTORICAL MARKER DEDICATION FRIDAY FOR PICKARD HIGH SCHOOL
A new Texas Historical Marker will be dedicated on Friday to honor the history and legacy of Pickard High School.
The A.R. Pickard High School Reunion Association invites the community to the unveiling of the new marker at 205 Kerr Street in Brenham. The dedication ceremony begins at 2 p.m.
The marker, awarded through the Texas Historical Commission’s “Undertold Marker” program, highlight’s Pickard High School’s role in the Camptown community and as one of the oldest African American schools in Texas.
Light refreshments will be served.
