BRENHAM FD CALLED OUT FOR HOTEL FIRE ALARM

  

The Brenham Fire Department had one fire alarm call on Wednesday. 

Shortly after 1:15 p.m., units were dispatched for a fire alarm at the Super 8 by Wyndham, 2209 Highway 290 East.  They arrived to find the smell of burnt food in the lobby area of the hotel.

Staff members told firefighters that food had burnt in a toaster, and the smoke activated the alarm.  No smoke was found upon the department’s arrival, and the alarm was reset.
