LOCAL OFFICES TO CLOSE FOR LABOR DAY
City of Brenham and Washington County offices will be closed on Monday, September 7th in observance of Labor Day.
Closures will include Brenham City Hall, Brenham Municipal Court, Brenham Pet Adoption and Animal Services, the Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library and all county facilities.
The Blue Bell Aquatic Center will be open on the Saturday and Sunday of Labor Day weekend, but will be closed on Labor Day itself.
On Saturday, September 5th, the outdoor leisure pool will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the indoor pools will be open from 3 to 5 p.m. for a Special Olympic Regional Swim Meet. All pools will be open on Sunday, September 6th from 1 to 5 p.m.
Regular fall/winter/spring hours at the Aquatic Center will start on Tuesday, September 8th.
The Brenham Washington County Visitor Center will maintain normal hours of 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Collection/Transfer and Recycling Station will also have regular hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and residential and commercial trash pick-up will run on its normal schedule.
The offices of Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative will be closed on Labor Day. Members can access their accounts and make payments by going to www.bluebonnet.coop, using the MyBluebonnet mobile app or calling 800-842-7708. Power outages can be reported through the website or app, by calling 800-949-4414, or by texting OUT to 85700 through Bluebonnet Outage Alerts.
