CITY OF BRENHAM LOOKING FOR BOARD AND COMMITTEE MEMBERS
The City of Brenham will begin taking applications for board and committee appointments this Tuesday, September 1.
Community members on Brenham's boards and committees provide an invaluable service by helping the city council and city staff develop recommendations on important policy matters.
Participation on a city advisory body is a way to get involved in the community and local government. It is an interesting and challenging experience that can truly make a difference.
The city's boards and committees that are open to serve on include: Barnhill Center Advisory Board, Building and Standards Commission, Historic Preservation Board, Main Street Advisory Board, Parks and Recreation Board, and Police Citizens Advisory Board.
A council sub-committee will review submitted applications, and the city council will make the appointments in December.
Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Thursday, October 1. They can be submitted in person at the city secretary's office or online at https://cityofbrenham.online/board-appointment-form.
