BRENHAM PD MAKES ARRESTS FOR DWI, PUBLIC INTOXICATION

  

Brenham police made four intoxication arrests over the weekend.

Just before 12:45 a.m. Saturday, Officer Evan O’Grady responded to the 2800 block of Highway 36 South in reference to an intoxicated person.  Upon arrival, officers located 24-year-old Tyler Andrew Rankin of Brenham, who had been reported to be passed out at the wheel.  Police say standardized field sobriety tests revealed that Rankin was not capable of safely operating a motor vehicle.  Rankin was placed into custody for Driving While Intoxicated 2^nd and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.  Rankin was transported to the Washington County Jail for booking.

Approaching 3 a.m., Officer Stephen Mosley responded to the 2600 block of Highway 36 South in reference to a report of an intoxicated person.  According to police, their investigation revealed that 30-year-old Edwin Joseph Pomykal of Burton was allegedly operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.  Pomykal was taken into custody for Driving While Intoxicated and transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was booked in. 

Shortly after 11:45 p.m., Officer O’Grady responded to the 200 block of South Market Street in reference to a reported suspicious person.  Upon arrival, investigation revealed that 44-year-old Jamaal Martin of Brenham was intoxicated.  Martin was placed into custody for Public Intoxication and transported to the Washington County Jail for booking.

A few minutes past 5:30 a.m. Sunday, Corporal Andrea Guerra responded to a report of a welfare concern in the 2600 block of Highway 36 South.  A male subject, identified as 22-year-old Angel Alberto Gutierrez Hernandez of Brenham, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated 2^nd.  He was transported to the Washington County Jail and booked in without incident.
