SHERIFF’S OFFICE MAKES INTOXICATION, INHALANT ARRESTS

  

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reported three arrests over the weekend.

Shortly after 1:15 a.m. Saturday, Sergeant Corey Himebaugh initiated a traffic stop in the 7000 block of Highway 290 East for failure to maintain a single lane.  Upon making contact, the sheriff’s office says both the driver and passenger displayed signs of intoxication.  After further investigation, both were taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail.  37-year-old Jose Luz Huerta Santana of Brenham was charged with Driving While Intoxicated with an Open Alcohol Container, while 43-year-old Juan Pablo Alarcon Santana of Brenham was charged with Public Intoxication.

A few minutes past 11:45 a.m. Sunday, deputies responded to the 200 block of Highway 290 West in reference to a welfare concern.  A male subject was found unresponsive in a vehicle and after several attempts, deputies were able to awaken him.  According to the sheriff’s office, the subject displayed signs of intoxication and was taken into custody after receiving medical clearance with EMS.  39-year-old Alexander Michael Gladbach of Brenham was transported to the Washington County Jail and charged with Inhalant Paraphernalia Use/Possess to Inhale, Possess Use Inhale/Ingest Volatile Chemical, and Tampering/Fabricating Physical Evidence.
