FAYETTE COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT REPORTS ON SUNDAY CAR FIRE

  

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Department reports that on Sunday, November 8, at approximately 10:55 am the Fayette County Communications office received a 911 call about a car on fire on Highway 77 between Berger and Knape Rd., according to Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek.

The Schulenburg Volunteer Fire Department and Deputy David Smith with the Sheriff’s Office responded to the call. The fire department was able to extinguish the fire. There were no reported injuries during this incident.

Texas Departement of Transportation was also notified about road damage to the shoulder of the highway as a result of the fire.
