TWO ARRESTED ON MARIJUANA CHARGES

  

Two people from Brenham face marijuana possession charges after their arrests in separate traffic stops Monday night.

Just before 7:30, Officer Jonathan Phipps conducted a traffic stop in the 2400 block of SH 105.

Phipps reports he could smell the odor of marijuana.

The driver, 19-year old John Michael Garcia of Brenham, admitted to having marijuana in the car and was arrested for Possession of marijuana under 2 oz.

Then, around 9 p.m., Chief Craig Goodman and Officer Terrence Johnson conducted a traffic stop in the 1200 block of S. Jackson St.

Both officers could smell marijuana in the car.

During a search, marijuana was found.

The driver, 18-year old Deon Florello Burch of Brenham, was arrested and charged with Possession of marijuana under 2 oz.
