NAVASOTA MAN SENTENCED TO PRISON
A Navasota man has received a 15 year sentence in Grimes County.

Alfonso Solis has been charged after pleading guilty to two felony counts of assault with a deadly weapon. Solis is believed to have punched his girlfriend and kick her out of a car while along Highway 6 in College Station.
Once back together at their home, Solis was said to have attacked his girlfriend with a golf club after she threatened to leave with the couple’s child. When the girlfriend tried to leave, Solis held a knife to her throat. The girlfriend escaped and called police. Policed arrived and arrested Solis.
Solis still faces charges in Brazos County for an incident that occurred in November 2014.
