BRENHAM P.D. MAKE THEFT ARRESTS

  

A Bryan man faces charges after Brenham Police arrest him on a theft charge.

52-year old Cornelius Moore was arrested Friday afternoon around 3:00, after Cpl. Tommy Kurie responded to Lowe’s in the 2700 block of SH 36.

Store officials say a couple had selected merchandise and then took it to customer service for a refund without paying for the items.  They received a refund of $897.90.

Moore was arrested and charged with theft. The female companion was allowed to leave with a small child; charges may be pending.

Saturday morning, just after 9:30, a LaPorte man was arrested in Brenham on a theft warrant.

27-year Aaron DeSean Hyman was wanted on two counts of theft out of Harris Co.

Officer Jose Perez pulled Hyman over for a traffic stop in the 2100 block of Highway 290.  He was detained once Perez was informed about the warrant.

Saturday afternoon, a Brenham woman says someone stole her lawnmower.

The victim met with Sgt. Jason Derrick and told him that someone stole her Craftsman lawnmower from her back yard.

The lawnmower is valued at approximately $400. The incident is under investigation.
