FORMER BRYAN CHEER COACH ARRESTED

  

A former coach at a Bryan cheerleading and gymnastics center has been indicted after allegedly asking an underage student for nude photos.

23-year old Jose Miguel Alvarez, has been charged with sexual performance by a child – punishable by five years to life in prison and a $10,000 fine.

Police reports say Alvarez asked a 13-year-old girl, who was in one of his cheer programs, to send naked photos of herself to his cellphone via Snapchat.

She told police she initially refused, but admitted to sending a photo after Alvarez offered to give her private lessons in return.
