GIDDINGS PUBLIC LIBRARY TO HOST SUMMER READING PROGRAM
The Giddings Public Library will be hosting a Children’s Summer Reading program, beginning June 15th and going through July 28th.
Today (Friday) is the final day to register for the program. To register, stop by the Giddings Library. Participants in the program must have a Giddings Library Card, but if you do not, all that is needed to receive a library card is a valid driver’s license.
Taylor Lara with the Library says that every day of the program will start with a story.
Lara went on to say that this program will help children strengthen their sense of imagination and creativity.
Prizes will also be given to children in the program whenever they reach another level up to five levels. Levels are determined by how many books or how many hours a child has read.
