BRENHAM WOMAN ARRESTED AFTER STOLEN CAR–CHASE
A stolen car in Brenham led to a high-speed chase that eventually ended in Harris County with the arrest of a 37-year old Brenham woman.
Late Thursday afternoon, authorities responded to a report of a stolen vehicle from the 2600 block of Schulte Blvd.
Cpl. Richard Bobbitt located the vehicle in the 800 block of W. Main and spoke with the suspect, 37-year old Jammie Victoria Castillo of Brenham.
Castillo then reportedly fled in the vehicle onto Highway 290 East and the pursuit headed east, involving officers from Brenham, Waller County, Harris County and the Department of Public Safety involved.
Harris County deputies were eventually able to spike the vehicle east of the Cypress Rosehill Road exit.
Castillo was arrested and magistrated in Waller County and returned to the Washington County Jail.
Castillo is charged with Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle; Possession of a controlled substance – Methamphetamine; Evading arrest with a vehicle; and Resisting arrest.
