MAN ARRESTED FOR SIXTH STREET SHOOTING
Austin police have confirmed the arrest of Endicott McCray, 24, of San Marcos, in conjunction with the Sixth Street shooting Sunday that killed one woman and injured four others.
McCray was apprehended in Atlanta this morning (Wednesday) in a bus and train station. Officers from the U.S. Marshals Southeast Fugitive Take Force spotted a man who matched McCray’s description. McCray was then approached and detained without incident.
McCray is wanted on the charge of murder of Teqnika Marie Moultire, 30, who was pronounced dead at the scene Sunday morning. Police say McCray was attempting to shoot his brother-in-law, Chris McCutcheon. McCray shot four other people who sustain non-life threatening injuries before fleeing the scene.
