FAYETTE COUNTY FAIR STARTS TODAY

  

The Fayette County Fair kicks off today (Thursday) in La Grange.

The fair features carnival rides, a cook-off, culinary delights, livestock and local talent, music, a pageant, and a parade. The concert line-up this year will start tonight with the group, Six Appeal:

The 2016 Fayette County Fair Queens Contest will also be held tonight at 8:00pm on the Marge Rosenberg Main Stage. The parade will be held Saturday, September 3 beginning at 10:30 am in downtown La Grange. The BBQ Cook-off will be Saturday and Sunday.

Fayette County Fair tickets are available from any of the queen contestants with pre-sale season tickets costing $40.00. Daily passes for Thursday and Friday are $15.00. Saturday tickets are $30.00. Sunday tickets are $40.00. Children 11 and under are free. Tickets include all concerts.  Carnival tickets and wristbands are sold separately.

Free parking will be available at the Fairgrounds on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The Easy-Way Express will be available as well. It's an air-conditioned shuttle bus from the covered sidewalk corner of Prosperity Bank in downtown La Grange, to the Fayette County Fair Main Gate. The shuttle begins at 6:00pm each evening, and returns from the Fair to downtown anytime until closing.

Additional parking will also be available across the road from the Fairgrounds, next to the St. Mark's Medical Center.
