COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO DISCUSS OFFICER BODY CAMERAS TODAY
The Washington County Commissioners Court will meet today (Tuesday) to consider applying for a state grant to help buy body cameras for sheriff’s office deputies.
The grant application would be between the Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division, and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
The Commissioners Court will also discuss approving the selling of surplus county property through Gov-Deals. The Gov-Deals site is an online auction service that provides various government agencies with a platform to sell confiscated items.
The County Commissioners Court will meet at 9 a.m. at the Washington County Courthouse in chambers 103.
