LOCAL REBATES DOWN SLIGHTLY IN NOVEMBER

  

Local sales tax rebates continue to run behind last year’s pace.

This month’s rebate for the City of Brenham was $575,482, which is down 0.7 percent from the November 2015 rebate of $579,483. Brenham through November received $5,688,374, which is down 2.6 percent from the same period last year.

Washington County’s rebate this month was $230,205, which is down 2 percent from 2015. The county’s rebate this year totals $2,301,151, which is down 3 percent from 2015’s total.

The City of Burton’s November rebate was $4,076, which is a 36.6 percent increase over a year ago. Rebates for the year are $36,276, which is up from $28,030 for the same time in 2015.
