INDUSTRY MAN FACES NUMEROUS CHARGES AFTER PRE DAWN TRAFFIC STOP
A pre-dawn traffic stop Wednesday led to a series of charges against a 28-year old Industry man.
Brenham police officer Seth Klem stopped a Chevy van just after four Wednesday morning in the 1100 block of Highway 290 west because of a defective taillight.
Once stopped Officer Klem saw that the driver, Anthony Wayne Henry of Industry had an invalid driver’s license. That prompted a search that found a backpack with a crystal like substance inside. That substance field tested positive for methamphetamines. When the officer made that discovery, Henry attempted to flee. Klem was able to catch him. Henry was arrested for possession of controlled substances, driving while license invalid with previous convictions and resisting arrest and detention. There were four others in the van but Henry was the only one arrested.
