COUNTY COMMISSIONERS REFLECT ON 1 YEAR POST FLOODS
May 26th was the 1-year anniversary of the tragic floods that swept through Washington and surrounding Counties, as Precinct 3 Commissioner Kirk Hanath reminded this morning’s (Tuesday’s) Commissioner’s Court. He asked the court to observe a moment of silence for the lives lost and those drastically altered.

County Judge John Brieden noted that last year was not the first time such an event had occurred…and that the weather around this weekend seems to be a pattern.
The Commissioners also thanked the first responders who’ve been pivotal in structuring a response plan.
