BELLVILLE ISD CONCLUDES THEIR ‘WALK ACROSS TEXAS’ PROGRAM
Walk Across Texas has officially concluded with Bellville Independent School District. At the end of the 8th week, 76,728 miles were racked up by the students and their families.
Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service of Austin County and Texas A&M School for Rural Public Health along with the Austin County Family and Consumer Sciences Advisory Committee extend a hearty congratulations to each and every participant who participated in this year’s eight week walking program. The three schools in the district participating were:
O’Bryant Primary – 38,300 miles;
West End Elementary - 23,485 miles
O’Bryant Intermediate – 14,761 miles.
Walk Across Texas is a fun and flexible way to get physically active and we hope that each of you have created a healthy habit that will last a lifetime. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Extension Office. Congratulations everyone on a job well done!
Kindergarten results are: Mrs. Anne Davis – 2,470 miles; - Mrs. Payton - 736 miles; and Mrs. Bridges – 666 miles.
First grade results are: Mrs. Newman – 1,735 miles; Mrs. Frietag -1,343 miles; and Mrs. Graham – 849 miles.
Second grade results are: Mrs. Peschel – 3,421 miles; Mrs. Hulsey – 2,190 and Mrs. Shackelford – 1,984 miles.
Third grade results are: Mrs. Hackemack – 2,697 miles; Mrs. Springer – 2,246 miles; and Mrs. Lewis – 1,860 miles.
Fourth grade results are: Mrs. Biehunko – 2,738 miles; Mrs. Yantis – 1,817 miles; and Mrs. Adams – 1,475 miles.
Fifth grade results are: Mrs. Greenville – 1,188 miles; Mrs. Vincik – 1,058 miles; and Mrs. Frietag – 710 miles.
On West End’s campus, the results are: Mrs. Orduna – 3,764 miles; Mrs. Blezinger – 2,919 miles; and Mrs. Armand – 2,535 miles.
