BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDS TO THREE MINOR ACCIDENTS FRIDAY

The Brenham Fire Department had a busy day Friday, as firefighters were called out to three separate minor accidents.

The first accident was reported shortly before 7:15 a.m. at West Lubbock and South Austin Streets.  The two-vehicle accident was not blocking the roadway, and no fluids were on the ground.  Firefighters were released from the scene by the Brenham Police Department.

Just before 5 p.m., firefighters were called out to another accident at South Day Street and Medical Parkway.  Units arrived on scene to find a two-vehicle accident with no one entrapped.  The department blocked traffic for scene safety and washed the roadway down of fluids, clearing the scene after the vehicles were removed from the road.

The third accident occurred just after 9:45 p.m. at West Alamo and South Jackson Streets.  When firefighters arrived, they found a two-vehicle accident with no fluids leaking.  Units provided traffic control and returned to service after the vehicles were cleared from the roadway.

The fire department did not receive word of anyone being transported for injuries.

The department also responded to five calls that ended up being false alarms.
