BRENHAM GAMECHANGERS ‘PURSE BINGO’ JANUARY 28TH AT FIREMAN’S TRAINING CENTER

Brenham GameChangers are looking to raise funds for local youth at the 3rd Annual “Purse Bingo” later this month.

The fundraiser, which benefits Pre-K through 12th graders by raising money for youth activities and scholarships and supporting character education, is set for January 28th at the Fireman’s Training Center.  Cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be served at 6 p.m., and Bingo games will start at 7 p.m.

Brenham GameChangers Board President Heather Thielemann said, as with all events, this year’s fundraiser will see some changes.

As COVID-19 put a halt to many student activities last spring, Brenham GameChangers used funds from last year’s event to assist Faith Mission in pandemic relief efforts and local restaurants in providing meals to students.

A total of 450 tickets were sold at last year’s event.  This year’s fundraiser sold 300 tickets to keep under 50 percent of the Fireman’s Training Center’s 800-person capacity.

Masks will be provided to every guest in attendance.  Tables will be spread out for social distancing, and all seats are assigned.

While tickets for this year’s event are sold out, anyone who is interested in donating or learning more about the organization can visit www.brenhamgamechangers.com.
