BRENHAM POLICE INVESTIGATING ASSAULT CASES

No charges have yet been filed in a possible case of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

Brenham Police were called out to the WalMart parking lot just after midnight to a dispute between a former boyfriend and girlfriend.

Police say the two had agreed to meet in the parking lot where the boyfriend was expected to return some of his former girlfriend’s items.

Authorities say the two then got into a heated argument—where she claims he shoved her then got into his car and allegedly tried to run her over.

The names of the two have not been released and the police investigation continues.

A Brenham city worker says he was threatened last (Thursday) night while spraying for mosquitoes.

The worker tells Brenham Police that he was driving the city’s mosquito sprayer truck just after 9:30 Thursday night on Independence Road near Williams Avenue.

He says a dark-colored passenger car passed him then pulled in front of him—cutting him off.

The worker says when he tried to go around the car several young males began cursing at him and one pulled out a knife and made a threat.

The worker was able to get by the vehicle and continued on.

Police continue their investigation.
