COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO CONSIDER ACCESS AGREEMENT WITH FIRE DEPARTMENT

  

The Washington County commissioners will discuss an access agreement with the Meyersville Volunteer Fire Department during their meeting on Tuesday.

The commissioners will consider approving an access agreement between the county and the fire department for property located off of Highway 105, northeast of Brenham.

The commissioners will also consider granting a former member of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office permission to purchase his duty issued firearm.

Patrol Lieutenant Robert D. Houston retired April 7th after 12 years with the office. The commissioners are expected to approve the purchase of the firearms for the amount equal to the county’s purchasing price.

The court will also hear a number of monthly reports from county entities including:

  • Washington County Sheriff’s Office
  • Information Technology
  • Washington County 911
  • EMS
  • Veterans Service Office
