Central Texas Beekeepers Association Meeting
July 28, 2022
The July meeting of the Central Texas Beekeepers Association will be held on July 28th in the VIP Building of the Washington County Expo. The schedule for the evening is:
- 5:00 – 5:30 - Advisory Council Meeting: short meeting to discuss the 2023 Bee School dates along with a couple of other topics that have come up over the past few of weeks. Everyone is welcome to attend.
- 5:30 – 6:30 - Youth Apprentice Program: Tim will be presenting “Honey Bee Types and where they come from”. This session is open to anyone, adults and youth, that would like to attend and learn.
- 6:30 – 7:30 - Covered Dish Meal: Please bring a dish to share. We supply the drinks. We have been close to running out of food recently, so we are asking that you bring just a little bit more to share.
- 7:30 – 8:30 - Main Meeting: Our main speakers this month will be Steven Pawelek and Amy Long from the USDA Austin/Washington County Farm Services Agency. \They will be discussing a program that may potentially cover some of the costs associated with hive losses. Come and hear the details of what the program covers and how to qualify.
- We will also have our regular features like our Book of the Month, the Plant of the Month, the Gadget of the Month, and some cool door prizes.
