GROOVY GRAPES WINE WALK APRIL 3RD IN DOWNTOWN NAVASOTA
Wine aficionados are invited next weekend to the annual Groovy Grapes Wine Walk in downtown Navasota.
Hosted by the Navasota Grimes County Chamber of Commerce, the event is set for Saturday, April 3rd from 2 to 6 p.m., and will feature a wide variety of Texas wines and snacks at participating businesses.
After checking in at the Navasota Visitor’s Center, guests will receive a commemorative wine glass, a wristband and a punch card to present at each location along the route. Those who visit each designated location will be entered into a drawing for prizes donated by participating businesses. Local musicians will provide entertainment for guests along the way.
New this year is an after-event in downtown that will be jointly hosted at The Gallery Downtown and the new Rail & Rye Restaurant after the wine walk, beginning at 6 p.m. Although the Rail & Rye is not yet open for business, owner Chris Tucker has arranged for the patio deck on the second level to serve wines and foods. There will also be live entertainment by Dallas Shipp.
In addition to the various wine stops, there will be designated locations that will serve non-alcoholic drinks.
Tickets are $20, and are limited to ages 21 and up. They can be purchased at the event starting at 1:30 p.m., or by going online to http://navasotagrimeschamber.com.
