Winedale’s Quilt Show

Winedale’s upcoming quilt show, “Connecting Threads: New Acquisitions in the Winedale Quilt Collection,” will be open the weekends of Feb. 18-20 and Feb. 25-27. In this exhibition, five new acquisitions engage in conversation with previously acquired pieces from the Winedale Quilt Collection. Highlighted in this display are quilts from the Briscoe Center’s third and largest significant quilt acquisition, a collection assembled by quilt historian and author Joyce Gross (1924–2012). The exhibit also showcases the work of quiltmaker and fiber artist Beth Thomas Kennedy (1941–2021), who made extraordinary contributions to the art and craft of traditional and contemporary quiltmaking.
