Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek is recognizing one of his reserve deputies.
The Sheriff says Deputy Reserve Terry Guentert is being saluted for his dedicated service to the Sheriff’s Office and the citizens of Fayette County.
Deputy Guentert originally joined the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office in 2007 as a reserve and later moved into a full time position as a patrol officer. He remained there until 2011 when he left to pursue other business opportunities. He returned in 2012 to reclaim his Deputy Reserve status. As a reserve officer, Guentert is only required to serve eight hours a month, but instead he is working numerous shifts to assist with patrol duties, all at no compensation.
