The former president of Blinn College has been named the full-time president at a community college in Kansas.
The Dodge City Community College board of trustees has voted 5-0 to name Dr. Harold Nolte its president.
Nolte had served as interim president of the college since July, but had originally declined to apply for the position on a full-time basis.
Nolte said he did not originally seek the presidency on a permanent basis, but says he “fell in love with the college, faculty, staff, administration and community,”
Nolte served as Blinn College president from November 2011 to January 2015, when he retired.
The contract with Dodge City Community is for two years, nine months at an annual salary of $165,200.
