Bearkat head coach Tom Brown has announced the addition of Jorden Smith to his staff as an assistant for the upcoming season.

Smith served last year as the inaugural head coach of both the Buccaneers’ men’s and women’s teams, building those programs from the ground up in 2018.  The Blinn men’s squad went 6-11 and made the conference playoffs in their first year, while the women finished 4-12-1.

Prior to Blinn, Smith spent two seasons as the head assistant for the Angelina College men's and women's soccer programs, which she also helped establish.  She also previously served as the assistant coach at Cisco College.

Smith played collegiately at Cisco and Lubbock Christian University.  She attended McNeil High School in Round Rock and lettered in soccer all four years.

The Buccaneers hired Michael McBride as their new men's and women's head coach in June.
