LOCAL DRAG RACER WINS AT BAYTOWN

Brianna Maitland participated in the Super Chevy Show in Baytown, Texas on September 30.

She won in the Advanced Jr. Dragster bracket race category.

Brianna had a 0.036 sec reaction time and ran a 7.942 on a 7.95 dial at 81.33 mph.  She defeated Cory Tankersley of  Conroe, Tx.  Cory had a 0.030 sec reaction time and ran a 7.949 on a 7.97 dial at 82.89 mph.

During the 1st round of eliminations Brianna posted a perfect reaction time of 0.000 seconds.

Brianna is a distinguished honor student at Brenham High School.  She is the daughter of Jeff and Marla Maitland and granddaughter of George Rhodes of Brenham and Gary and Janet Maitland of Flagler Beach, Florida.
