MT. SERIAH BAPTIST CHURCH CELEBRATING 128TH ANNIVERSARY SUNDAY

Mount Seriah Missionary Baptist Church in Brenham is celebrating its 128th anniversary this weekend.

Established in 1891, the church is an outreach ministry of Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church, serving the Blinn College campus and the Washington County community.

The church will hold three services tomorrow (Sunday) to celebrate its 128th homecoming.  The first will be held at 9 a.m., featuring local musical artist Ryann Elise and a message from Lead Minister Doc Williams.

A service will follow at 11 a.m., with a message from Reverend Dr. John Harris, Jr., pastor of Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church.

The congregation will move to the Blinn College Student Center ballroom for a service at 3 p.m., hosted by Reverend Demarcus Howard of Greater Missionary Baptist Church in Huntsville.

Mount Seriah Missionary Baptist Church is located at 1006 West First Street in Brenham.  All three services are open to the public.

Because all Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church services will be held on the Mount Seriah campus tomorrow, there will be no activities at the main campus on Kerr Street this weekend.
