NINE YEAR OLD BOY RIDES ACROSS THE COUNTRY

  

A nine year old boy from California is riding his bike across the country to benefit children with cancer. 

Nine year old C.J. Burford, like most boys, loves to ride his bike. After hearing a song on the radio, and reading Colossians 3:23 from his Bible, he was inspired to ride his bike for a reason. In the past two years, CJ has ridden over a thousand miles to raise over $17,000 for charities. His goal is to ride at least forty miles a day and raise $10,000 for the National Children's Cancer Society.

Part of C.J.’s journey will bring him into Brenham this afternoon. His journey started on September 1 in Oceanside, California, and he will end his ride in St. Augustine, Florida.
