PANTHERS/SNOOK TO CLOSE OUT REGULAR SEASON AT BURTON

The Burton Panthers hope to create some momentum going into the playoffs as they host the Snook Blue Jays in the regular season finale, Friday night.

The Panthers have won back-to-back games to improve their record to 5-4, 2-1 in District 14/2A DII play.  The Blue Jays are 4-5 on the season and are also 2-1 in district action.

Tonight’s game will determine playoff seeding for next week’s Bi-District round of the playoffs.  The winner will face the loser of tonight’s game between Granger and Chilton.  Tonight’s loser will face the winner of the Granger/Chilton game.

Panthers’ head coach Jason Hodde says the Blue Jays are a very tough team…

 

In addition to improving their playoff seeding, Hodde says the Panthers must be playing well going into the playoffs…

 

Kickoff at Panther Stadium is tonight at 7:30.  It is also the final home game for the Panthers’ senior class.
