The second-year A&M coach says he’s excited about the schedule, "we don't want to spoil anything. We want to take care of our own. They're all great teams, but we expect to play with them, compete with them and win those games. That's why we're here."

On the Aggies’ schedule this year: Clemson, Alabama and Georgia--all three likely among the preseason top five.  Texas A&M was 9-4 last season, including 5-3 in the SEC.

Expectations are high again for the Aggies thanks to an experienced offense that includes junior quarterback Kellen Mond, who threw for 3,107 yards, 24 touchdowns and nine interceptions last year.

Mond says the team is reminded of the tough schedule every day during weightlifting and other workouts and that "it's a really good opportunity for us."

The Aggies open the 2019 season, Thursday, August 28th when they host Texas State at 7:30.  All Aggie games can be heard on AM 1280 KWHI and FM 101.7.
