TEXANS ENCOURAGED TO REPORT STORM DAMAGE TO TDEM

Washington County emergency management officials are encouraging Texans to help them identify damages as a result of the winter weather disaster.

The Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) is collecting information on damages to businesses and homeowners across the state to provide to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

This data will be used to help emergency management officials gain an understanding of the damages that occurred, and will help FEMA determine whether to provide assistance to the counties that have not been listed in President Joe Biden’s disaster declaration.

A self-reporting voluntary survey is available at www.tdem.texas.gov/warm.  This is an effort to collect information only, and is not a method to seek reimbursement.  It does not substitute for reporting damage to an insurance agency or guarantee disaster relief assistance.
