Seats are still available for tomorrow (Saturday) night’s Shinyribs concert at The Barnhill Center at Historic Simon Theatre.

The unique music of Shinyribs, led by front man Kevin Russell, will fill The Barnhill Center at 8 p.m., following the Summer Sip and Art Walk in downtown Brenham from 3 to 7 p.m.

The group mixes authentic Texas/New Orleans funky soul and blues with country twang and even Doo-Wop, reminiscent of old-school 60’s rock and roll.

The eight-person band has released four albums.  The latest, I Got Your Medicine, was named Album of the Year at the Houston Chronicle’s prestigious Music Awards.

In mid-2017, the Austin American-Statesman named Willie Nelson and Shinyribs as “the year’s top local performers so far.”  Many additional publications have praised Shinyribs for the group’s contributions to the industry and “exhilarating” performances.

Sharon Brass, booking representative for The Barnhill Center, says Shinyribs delivers “pure, outrageous fun,” and that this show is “the perfect finale for a fun day downtown.”
