TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO WARRANT ARREST

Brenham Police served a trio of warrants on a local man after his arrest Sunday evening.

Police pulled over 39-year old Jason Lawson just after 7:30 p.m. in the 200 block of Joseph St. on a traffic stop.

An investigation revealed that Lawson had three active warrants for his arrest.

Lawson was arrested, and transported to the Washington County Jail where he was charged for the warrants of Theft, Driving while license invalid, and Driving While Intoxicated.

Well it’s police protocol when ever theres a traffic violation, they will tell you what you did wrong then after you apologize, they will asked for your drivers license, registration, an insurance. Then they say stay in your car , when return to car, in some they start a run on the vehicle, your name , if everything is current and up to date, then they will run a warrant on the drivers license, but some has a data base in side of the squad car it can scan 10 cars in traffic scan there plates an the officer who car current and which has expired plates , registration, etc ….thanks for allowing the people to comment
