TWO ARRESTED FOR STEALING CAR IN BRENHAM

Two Houston men have been arrested after allegedly stealing a vehicle from the parking lot of a Brenham restaurant.

Tuesday at noon, Brenham Police Sgt. Lloyd Powell was called to the 1300 block of Prairie Lea Street in reference to a stolen vehicle.

The caller said he was on his lunch break at a local store and had left his vehicle running with the keys in it.

When he came out of the store his 1997 Buick LeSabre was gone.

Video from the store’s security camera shows a black male getting out of a silver Nissan, getting into the stolen vehicle and drive off eastbound.

Powell made contact with the GPS company who traced the vehicle in the Houston area.

Just before 2:00, Powell was notified that the vehicle had been located and that Harris County Constables Office Precinct 3 had two subjects detained.

They are identified as: 27-year old Cyrus McQuarn and 35-year old Leon Dorsey

Both are being charged with Unauthorized use of a Motor Vehicle as well as other charges pending out of Harris County.

  1. I’m glad they caught the thieves too. But, it doesn’t matter where they are from, the victim left the car running with the keys in it. Brenham is not the little community it used to be. We each and all have to take precautions now-a-days.

  2. See, it is Houston people terrorizing our community. Very few of our local citizens cause problems, and he few that do are nipped in the bud!

  3. It is great they caught the thieves, now lets hope we can put them away for a LONG time. It is time to let people know that we take our laws seriously here and to not allow these to criminals to get away with a light sentence.
