TWO ARRESTED ON LOCAL THEFT CHARGES

Two people face charges after separate arrests in Brenham Tuesday for theft.

At around 4:00 p.m., 32-year old Tamendreon Phillips of Hempstead was found by local police in the 1600 block of State Highway 105.

Phillips was found in possession of stolen property.  He was taken into custody for Theft of Property with two or more Previous Convictions—Enhanced.

Jaelynn Smith
(Washington Co. Jail)

He was taken to the Washington County Jail.

Then, just after 5:30, police were called to the local WalMart on Highway 290 for a theft investigation.

Police arrested 19-year old Jaelynn Renee Smith of Burton, after she allegedly stole money from the store.

She is charged with Theft of Property between $100-and-$500.

Smith was taken to the Washington County Jail.

  1. Both were old enough to know better. There are so many jobs available and no need to break the law.
