18-WHEELER TRAILER DESTROYED IN FIRE AT BRENHAM COLLECTION STATION
An 18-wheeler trailer was destroyed after a fire Saturday night at the BVR Collection Station in Brenham.
The Brenham Fire Department responded at 11 p.m. to a report of a dumpster fire at 2009 Old Chappell Hill Road. Units arrived to find the 18-wheeler trailer fully involved.
Brenham firefighters set up an aerial ladder, along with two hand lines, to extinguish the fire and cool down the other trailer beside it.
The Chappell Hill Volunteer Fire Department was called for additional manpower to help unload trash to extinguish the hot spots still inside the trailer.
The trailer was a complete loss.
