AUSTIN COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT INVESTIGATING ANIMAL CRUELTY ALLEGATION
A posting on Facebook has led to the investigation by the Austin County Sheriff’s Department, who is investigating an alleged case of animal cruelty after a report that a veterinarian in Brenham killed a domestic cat with an arrow and bragged about it on Facebook.
Austin County Sheriff Jack Brandes, who’s department is investigating the alleged incident, tells us where the investigation is so far:

The actions of the young woman involved in this incident indicate that, among other things, she is emotionally and mentally immature.
The knee jerk reactions of those who want to somehow blame and punish the business for her after hours behavior indicate that they are just as emotionally and mentally immature as she appears to be.
Apparently she has been fired and is gone.
For reasonable, rational people it is time to move on.
The establishment she worked for isn’t to blame for her cruelty. In fact, they seperated from her as soon as they learned about the situation.
Please do not hold Washington animal clinic responsible for this woman’s cruel actions. They fired her as soon as they were made aware of this horrible situation. The vets and staff there have always been caring and kind. Our Dog suffered many illnesses from birth until her passing at age 14 , The staff there always took great care of her and Helped extend her life with treatment. They were also very compassionate when the time came to end my Dogs suffering. We all cried together that day. Please know that just like any other company, They cannot control what people do outside of work. Don’t get me wrong, I think what Ms Lindsey did was inexcusable. and she should be punished. But Washington Animal clinic should not be punished.
How can a vet of all people do this? And then show the picture for the world to see! This angers me! You call this fun? I call it torture! Unbelievable! Yeah she should never be a vet again! Disgraceful!
WOW!!!! I’m shocked and very sadden to hear this, I can’t even imagine what this establishment (owners, staff) are going through!!
This is such a loving and caring place!!! Glad to hear she’s gone and hopefully lose her license and suffer the consequences from her evil actions……WASHINGTON COUNTY ANIMAL CLINIC is #1
This is horrific. And I’m truly thinking about not returning to to animal clinic where she works after having my animals cared for by this clinic since I was a child. Because it is horrible to think that this is who supposedly cares for my animals while there!
I have used this clinic for years and find the vets who own the clinic compassionate.
You should not hold the whole clinic responsible for one persons actions. She was fired as soon as they caught wind of what was going on. Washington Animal Clinic is a very professional company and they take pride in their work. People should show them the support they deserve for all the years of great animal care they have provided already and still to come!

I always believed that to be a vet you had a love and compassion for ALL animals! This person is highly lacking that along with any common sense!!
