CITY OF NAVASOTA INVITES RESIDENT INPUT IN NEW COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
The City of Navasota is embarking on an effort to develop a new comprehensive plan, and the community is invited to share feedback through the planning process.
The city says the comprehensive plan will serve as a long-term vision and roadmap for how Navasota grows and develops over the coming decade, guiding decisions on matters concerning land use, mobility, infrastructure and quality of life.
All residents are invited to attend a community town hall on Monday, August 4th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Navasota Center, 103 Stadium Drive. The event is open to the public and will provide community members with an opportunity to share their ideas, priorities and hopes for the city’s future.
Residents are also encouraged to complete an online survey to ensure their input is included in the development of the comprehensive plan.

If Navasota approves and then allows a revolving door to variances and special permits like the city of Brenham planner, it won’t really make a difference if you got a comprehended plan or not.
Pretty sure you know very well the planner doesn’t have any right whatsoever to deny a property owner from requesting a variance or special exception. Because it is the property owner not the planner that is making the request. Do you not believe in the right to appeal a law/ordinance by a property owner? The planner is the one who is tasked with presenting it to any board or council. Pretty sure the planner probably gave you an answer you didn’t like which came from ordinances adopted by elected officials who then hire an Indvidual to make sure they are upheld.
