FIVE SENTENCED IN DISTRICT COURT

  

Five people pleaded guilty and were sentenced this week in 21st and 335th District Court before Judge John Winkelmann.

24-year-old Markell DeMond Lee of Brenham, sentenced to 5 years in prison for Assault of a Family/Household Member with Previous Conviction, a third degree felony.  Lee also had his probation revoked and was sentenced to 5 years in prison for Assault of a Family Member Impeding Breath/Circulation and Escape While Arrested/Confined, both third degree felonies.

53-year-old Johnnie Lee Washington III of Navasota, probation revoked and sentenced to 3 years in prison for Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or More, a third degree felony.

43-year-old Dolores Victoria Rivera of Big Spring, probation adjudicated and sentenced to 9 months in state jail for Abandoning/Endangering a Child and Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, Less Than a Gram, both state jail felonies.

20-year-old Tayshun Marshall of Brenham, sentenced to 4 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, 4-400 Grams, a second degree felony.  Marshall must also pay a $1,000 fine and a $50 crime stoppers fee, as well as perform 120 hours of community service.  Additionally, he was sentenced to 4 years’ deferred adjudication probation and ordered to pay a $50 crime stoppers fee for Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, a state jail felony.

21-year-old Tristan Newt Tacker of Sealy, sentenced to 3 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, a state jail felony.  Tacker was also ordered to pay a $500 fine and $50 crime stoppers fee, in addition to performing 100 hours of community service.
